Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Perth Inner City Region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($9,592million or 17.2%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($8,672million or 15.6%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($6,903million or 12.4%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $25,166 million in total or 45.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the Perth Inner City Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 25.2% in Construction; 6.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 4.4% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between local sales by industries of Perth Inner City Region and Western Australia were:
- A larger percentage of local sales by Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (15.6% compared to 6.7%)
