Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Perth Inner City Region in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($15,081million or 26.5%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($10,357million or 18.2%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($5,941million or 10.4%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $31,380 million in total or 55.1% of the total local sales by total industry in the Perth Inner City Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.2% in Construction; 7.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 4.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between local sales by industries of Perth Inner City Region and Western Australia were:
- A larger percentage of local sales by Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (18.2% compared to 7.5%)
- A larger percentage of local sales by Financial and Insurance Services (10.4% compared to 4.0%)
