An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Perth Inner City Region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($9,832 million or 37.4%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($3,492 million or 13.3%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($1,558 million or 5.9%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $14,882 million in total or 56.6% of the total imports by industry in the Perth Inner City Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 26.7% in Manufacturing; 6.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 9.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between total imports by industries of Perth Inner City Region and Western Australia were:
