Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Town of Cambridge in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($541million or 21.7%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($378million or 15.2%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($363million or 14.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,282 million in total or 51.4% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Town of Cambridge.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.2% in Construction; 7.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 6.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the Town of Cambridge and Western Australia were:
- A smaller percentage of local sales by Construction (21.7% compared to 31.2%)
- A larger percentage of local sales by Health Care and Social Assistance (14.5% compared to 6.3%)
