Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Town of Cambridge in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($856 million or 34.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($206 million or 8.3%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($162 million or 6.5%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,225 million in total or 49.1% of the total imports by industry in the the Town of Cambridge.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.1% in Manufacturing; 5.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 8.1% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between total imports by industries of the Town of Cambridge and Western Australia were:
