Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Yarra Ranges Council area in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($2,401 million or 29.4%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($936 million or 11.4%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($888 million or 10.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $4,225 million in total or 51.7% of the total imports by industry in the Yarra Ranges Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 33.0% in Manufacturing; 6.7% in Public Administration and Safety and 5.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
