An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Shire of Chittering in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($143million or 34.0%)
- Mining ($102million or 24.2%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($30million or 7.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $275 million in total or 65.3% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Shire of Chittering.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.2% in Construction; 6.3% in Mining and 1.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.
